Breeding the healthiest most desirable human beings?

Indiana passed the eugenics law in 1907, which made sterilization mandatory for those in state custody, whether that be in prison or mental institutions. The practice of eugenics prevented reproduction of those with “inferior” hereditary traits such as criminal and deviant tendencies or mental deficiencies. Dr. Harry Sharp of Indiana was one of the first practitioners of the vasectomy. Castration being the previous form of sterilization.
